4D3N Star Cruise Libra ( Penang - Phuket - Krabi - Penang )

First and foremost, i would like to thank Star cruises 18th Anniversary Tag & Win for this once in a lifetime opportunity on board the Superstar Libra for a 4D3N Cruise from Penang - Krabi - Phuket - Penang.


It was definitely a wonderful experience to go on board this luxurious cruise.


The day we've been waiting for long.... 05 February 2012.  All of us were very exited as we started our journey as early as 6.30 am in the morning from KL - Penang as we were worried of heavy traffic due to the holidays.  

Arrived at the Swettenham Pier and park our car at the Fort Cornwallis.  Proceeded to the Check-in counter to get our access card which act as our Identity Card during our stay on the cruise; it works as a door key as well. We were eagerly waiting to go on board to explore the cruise for this wonderful journey.  


On our way boarding, we were greeted by the Brazilian dancer.  They were so friendly and it gives us the feelings  of wanting to explore even more before boarding the ship.

We were given 3 Ocean View Stateroom with Window on Deck 3.  The room was just nice, comfortable and clean; it was equipped with all the necessary amenities.

  

Right after we entered our cabin and leave our luggage, it's time for an afternoon tea at the Mariners Buffet where the selection of food was quite welcoming.   

While waiting for the welcoming BBQ dinner at the pool deck, went to Stardust Lounge to book in advance for the Gala Dinner which will be held on Tuesday.  There were 2 choices of restaurant for us to pick; Ocean Palace serve Chinese cuisine and Four Seasons Restaurant serve western.  We choose Ocean Palace as we prefer the selection there.

After that, we went back to get ready for our BBQ Dinner.  Eating on the cruise is the most exciting, from breakfast to supper !  All of us were hungry, eating and talking about the choices and wide selection of food and not to mention the entertainment going on while we savior on the food while enjoying the nice sea view, breeze  and listening to the live band show.  Got our tummy real full and superb satisfactory !  

  

So after everyone got their stomach full, we went roaming around the cruise and see what are happenings.  We went to Stardust Lounge at Deck 5 for some entertaining show and try our luck on the Lucky 7 Bingo. 

It's the end of the night and the party is over.  There's not much activity left and we headed back to our own cabin for a good rest as we will be arriving Phuket the next day. 

DAY 2

Here is the Dim-sum breakfast at the Ocean Palace Restaurant as the ship slowly reaches Patong Beach, Phuket Island for our Free & Easy tour around Phuket with lots of shopping and food to explore.  

   

After a yummy treat, we disembarked to Patong Beach.  We had to take a boat to the shore and i must say that it was very well organised as well as the cruise staff was very courteous and friendly as well.

 

The weather was hot and sunny.  Had my hair braided at the Patong Beach !

Lots of nice Thai Food as well !

As the night ended again, its time for us to return to our ship as we will be departing for Krabi before returning to Penang.

DAY 3

We woke up slightly earlier for breakfast today as we will be arriving Krabi early for our usual Free & Easy tour.  Had a yummy breakfast at the Four Seasons Restaurant.

As usual, after touring Krabi, it's time for us to go back to the ship for our Farewell Gala Dinner as we will be back in Penang the next day.

Introduction of the Cruise Captain !

After all the wonderful entertainment, it's time for our Gala Dinner at the Oceanview Restaurant.  The picture says it all !

 Not to mention, a short performance by the Cruise staff as well as Lion Dance !

After the Dinner, there was a farewell party at the Pool Deck where the Cruise Staff performed some dance and of course we were all invited to dance together as well.

The most saddening part is, we had to go back as it was the end of the journey.  Had our breakfast at the Four Season Restaurant which is as tempting as usual as well as the selection of food varies.

Enjoying the scenery at the deck while waiting to go back after the wonderful time with lots of entertainment and not to forget the friendly and courteous staff which we met throughout the journey on the ship.

Thanks to Star Cruises for this wonderful experience as well as giving us the chance to get together for an unforgettable journey on this marvelous and indescribable cruise experience away from work and busy schedule.
